Low-End Processor, No 4G Support:

The Infinix Hot 8 Lite may sound like a Lite version of the Infinix Hot 8 which was launched in India in 2019. However, one look at the spec sheet of the phone will be enough to convince you that the Hot 8 Lite is too light on features for it to be considered to be an affordable version of its cousin. For starters, the phone comes powered by the Mediatek MT6580 chipset that houses a quad-core processor clocked at up to 1.3GHz. The phone comes in a single version with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. You do get a microSD card slot for additional storage. As things stand now, the Infinix Hot 8 Lite may never make it to India because the phone only supports 3G networks. The only version they have on sale does not support 4G or 4G VoLTE networks.

Android 8.1 (GO Edition), Dual rear cameras:

The Infinix Hot 8 Lite comes preloaded with Android 8.1 (Go Edition) at the time of its launch. This, at a time when manufacturers have started moving to Android 10 means that the device is already two generations behind most modern Android-based devices. Thankfully, you will continue to receive priority security updates thanks to the Android GO certification. There is no word if the phone would get updated to Android 9 Pie in the future. The Infinix Hot 8 Lite gets a dual-camera setup at the rear consisting of an 8-megapixel primary camera with f/1.8 aperture. This camera also supports PDAF. The secondary rear camera uses a QVGA sensor that the company says is for low light situations. Interestingly, the phone gets a quad-LED flash at the rear as well. At the front, the phone gets an 8-megapixel camera with an LED flash for low light situations.

Large Display, Large Battery:

The Infinix Hot 8 Lite comes with a large 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels in the 20:9 aspect ratio. The display claims 450 nits of brightness and has a screen to body ratio of 83.5 percent. The large size of the display and the low resolution means that the phone ends up with a PPI density of 266. On the flip side, the large size of the Infinix Hot 8 gives it enough room to fit in a large 5,000mAh battery. The phone, however, lacks any form of fast charging and is offered in four color options; Quetzal Cyan, Cosmic Purple, Shark Grey, Midnight Black.
